Journalist from portal FAR received a threat via a phone call, in which an unknown person said:
“…those who write lies about me, something could happen to them…”
The threat was issued after FAR journalist Sergej Ivanov posted a text on his Facebook profile about the possibility of opening a lignite mine near Dimitrovgrad, an initiative backed by the company “Vuković Benz.” This is a topic of great public importance, and the threat came just before the public discussion on the Draft Detailed Regulation Plan for the “Mazgoš” deposit, scheduled for October 13th. Ivanov has been covering this issue for a long time, which is undoubtedly of public significance and has sparked considerable public attention.
