The Director of the Montenegrin Police, Lazar Šćepanović, threatened the author of the TV show “Načisto,” broadcast on TV Vijesti, Petar Komnenić, saying he would initiate proceedings against him “for insulting the police.”

While speaking about fugitive Miloš Medenica, who has been convicted at first instance for leading a criminal group, Komnenić asked whether the police were “just a decorative ficus plant” if they are unable to arrest a person who is violating a measure of house confinement. Following this, Šćepanović accused him of insulting the Montenegrin police.

“After this, we will initiate proceedings against Komnenić for insulting the police,” he said, adding that Komnenić had previously misled the public.
