On January 21, journalists, professors and students gathered at a protest over the dismissal of Jelena Kleut, professor of the Faculty of Philosophy. Members of the MUP entered the university to expel the protesting students, and excessive force was used to suppress the crowd. In the videos available on social networks, it can be seen that some members of the MUP hit the crowd with open and closed fists, as well as with shields, while some of them kicked.

Several media teams were among those gathered who were pushed out of the university by physical force.

Journalists of the Blokada.INFO redaction were pushed out with physical force, while their journalist Uglješa Surdučki was physically beaten by members of the police. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries.

All journalists clearly introduced themselves, and some of them were visibly marked with vests marked “Press” and showed their journalist credentials.
