Journalist Emir Kahrimanović of the 021.rs portal was physically attacked while reporting on events in Novi Sad on September 5, 2025.

Kahrimanović was reporting from the Novi Sad quay at the time of the police raid. In the recording he recorded, he can be heard repeatedly saying that he was a journalist, before he fell. Kahrimanović said that he tripped while trying to avoid police officers who were running towards the protesters. After he fell, a police officer kicked him while he was lying on the grass.

“They moved towards me several times, even though I kept saying that I was a journalist. I was wearing a vest and repeatedly showed my press card and shouted that I was a journalist,” Kahrimanović said.
