After the journalist called the police, the East Novo Sarajevo Police Department stated that Sladoje had been issued a misdemeanor citation for insulting Sanja Vasković. Sladoje accepted responsibility, the police said, and they are not currently treating this report as an attack on journalists because, as explained, “the threats and insults were not reported by an accredited journalist". The police claim they "received a report from a third party that police intervention was necessary on a certain street.”

Journalist and editor-in-chief of the Spin.info portal, Sanja Vasković, was attacked on 7 February while she was attempting, in her professional capacity, to investigate the felling of trees and the construction of a swimming pool in East Sarajevo. At the construction site of the company “Uniotec”, Vasković was verbally abused by Ljubo Sladoje, the father of the company’s owner, who forcibly seized her mobile phone, thereby endangering her personal safety and violating her right to work freely and independently.
