Cardiologist at the Clinical Centre of Montenegro Vladimir Peruničić, sent disturbing and sexually explicit messages from to the Instagram profile of the morning programme of RTV Podgorica, intended for journalist Magdalena Čelanović.
Čelanović reported the case to the police on 5 March. Peruničić was arrested the same day after admitting that he had sent the messages. Proceedings against him began later that day at the Misdemeanour Court in Podgorica.
The court found that Peruničić had not insulted the journalist in a public place, and he was therefore acquitted at first instance. The prosecutor announced an appeal against the court’s decision.
Peruničić had sent messages of similar content to the journalist in April 2025 as well.
