During the coverage of a civic protest in Novi Sad on November 17, police officers attacked journalist Žarko Bogosavljević, editor of the Razglas News portal. While pushing back citizens who were peacefully protesting in front of the building of the Government of the Province of Vojvodina, a member of the intervention unit forcefully shoved journalist Bogosavljević, even though he was reporting live from the scene and wearing a clearly marked press vest.

Bogosavljević repeatedly shouted that he was a journalist and that the officer was breaking the law by physically attacking a member of the press. He demanded that the officer identify himself and show his badge in order to file a complaint, but the intervention unit officer refused. Bogosavljević then addressed an unmasked police supervisor with the surname Vasović, asking him to order the officer who had shoved him to identify himself and provide the information necessary for filing a report, but the supervisor also refused.
