A letter sent from Maribor in Slovenia was sent to the address of N1 television, in which journalist Danica Vučenić is threatened with the murder of her closest relatives.
Among other things, he stated in the letter, “We will kill your loved ones, mare one.”
The editorial staff of TV N1 reacted immediately after receiving the letter and reported the case to the competent Third Basic JT and the police, who reacted quickly.
Danica Vučenić has been facing various threats and pressures for a long time. The attacks also come in the context of targeting campaigns in the pro-regime media. Such public labeling of journalists further exposes them to risk and creates an atmosphere in which threats and violence against media workers are more and more frequent and dangerous.
