In the period between October 2014 and June 2015, the Association of Journalists of Macedonia monitored 39 cases (total 106 hearings). The purpose of the monitoring was to analyse the implementation of the Law on Civil Liability for Defamation and Insult and the Law on Civil Procedure by the Basic Court Skopje 2, and to draw conclusion of the degree of similarity with the practices of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
