Belgrade Mayor Aleksandar Sapic lashed out at N1’s Miodrag Sovilj on Thursday, causing several media crews to walk out of his news conference.
Sapic appeared at the City Hall news conference with a board allegedly showing statistics of Sovilj’s reports. He unveiled the board after N1 asked him about his Serbian Progressive Party’s (SNS) coalition with the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS).
The Mayor did not reply to any question about claims made against him from the SPS and about the city transport company, choosing to target United Media journalists.
Sapic argued with the N1 reporter and then showed a video of his previous news conference to allege that Sovijl’s reporting was biased, claiming that only some of his words were reported.
The Mayor made some offensive remarks including calling all reporters tricksters and manipulators.
