The European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) has joined the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Reporters Without Borders (RSF), and over 130 journalist organizations, media freedom groups, and international newsrooms in demanding that foreign journalists be granted immediate, independent, and unrestricted access to the Gaza Strip. The signatories also call for full protection of Palestinian journalists, nearly 200 of whom have been killed by the Israeli military over the past 20 months.
“We call on governments in Europe, the European Commission, the Council of Europe, and the OSCE to take urgent and concrete action to end the ongoing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza,” said EFJ President Maja Sever. “Their passivity is complicity. They will have to be held accountable,” Sever added. You can read more about the resolution on Gaza here
