Danijela Mujović, the wife of Podgorica Mayor Saša Mujović, has filed a police complaint against journalist Vesna Rajković Nenadić over a social media post.

Rajković Nenadić revealed on Facebook that she had recieved a notification from the police, following a complaint filed by the mayor’s wife, asking her to explain a post that commented on Mujović’s choice of footwear — specifically, a pair of Dior slippers. Along with her comments, she also shared a photo of Danijela Mujović wearing the designer shoes.

“Poor “liberators”. Everyone shops at “Koton”. This is 100% fake — as my son says when he doubts something is original,” Rajković Nenadić wrote in the post.

In response, Mujović took to Instagram to announce that she would pursue legal action against anyone who publishes her photos or mentions her on social media.

“I’ve reported the lady to the police for harassment and will be initiating further legal proceedings. Let her explain her motives to the court,” Mujović stated.

Rajković Nenadić, undeterred, responded with another Facebook post.

“For days now, bots have been swarming my post with insults and hate speech. And now that Mrs. Mujović herself has reacted, I’m glad — it means I hit the mark. Despite attempts to paint this as some obsession with Mrs. Mujović’s looks or style, I’ve spent 25 years doing serious journalism, not fashion commentary. That’s why our professional paths have never crossed,” she wrote.

“The point is this: in a country where people are struggling to afford basic necessities, it is a matter of public interest that the mayor’s wife is wearing Dior slippers. This is about decency — the same way we once scrutinized Lidija’s Dior handbags, looking into their model numbers and price tags. The standard should be the same for everyone. We must learn that when we — or our spouses — hold public office, we should be less sensitive to public criticism.”
