A photographer from the Faculty of Agriculture was attacked on July 29 in Novi Pazar by police officers. The photojournalist was standing on the sidewalk taking pictures of parked police vehicles about thirty meters from the building of the State University of Novi Pazar. The police officers came out of the police station and grabbed him by the arm, asked him for his ID and asked why he was taking pictures of them. The photojournalist explained that he had taken pictures of the vehicles, but not the policemen. However, the police officers asked him to delete the pictures, which he immediately did. After that, they told him that he was free, but that was not the end of the harassment of the photojournalist. Several police officers with masks appeared and started shouting at him:
,,Why are you taking pictures of us? Why do you hate the police?! I’ll throw your camera into the Ibar River! I’ll break both of your arms! You fucking retarded guy, why did you come here to defend the Turks?!
They further demanded that he show the contents of the gallery on his phone and camera, insisted that he had two SIM cards, even though he had one, physically attacked him, and after a while, when he failed to react to the name-calling, they released him.
