New bot attacks have been recorded on the Instagram accounts of the media outlets Danas, Nova.rs, N1, Nova TV, and the weekly Radar. In just 60 minutes, the Instagram account of N1 gained as many as 28,000 new followers, clearly indicating that the profile was the target of a coordinated attack.
At the same time, the Nova.rs portal’s account was attacked again, recording an increase of approximately 80,000 new followers within half an hour. The daily newspaper Danas announced that on Tuesday it gained around 30,000 new followers in a 30-minute period.
Similar bot attacks are currently targeting the accounts of Nova TV and the weekly Radar as well, where a sudden and unusually large increase in followers has also been observed.
