The Ministry of Interior of the Republika Srpska informed all police agencies in Bosnia and Herzegovina that it has information that the car bomb, which members of the criminal group of Dino Muzaferović Cezar transported in January from Zvornik to Sarajevo, was intended for the assassination of Avdo Avdić, the editor of Istraga.ba portal. The RS police stated that their sources indicated that they “believe the device was intended for journalist Avdić”. This information was forwarded by the RS Ministry of Interior to SIPA and to the Federal Police Administration. The information was later forwarded to the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior, which informed the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor’s Office. Journalist Avdić was officially informed of these developments at the premises of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior. He received police protection.
