PODGORICA, 23.02.2026 – The start of proceedings before the Basic Court in Kolašin in the case brought by Vijesti correspondent Dragana Šćepanović against the company “Ski Resort Kolašin”, founder of the Aktuelno portal, has been postponed.

Šćepanović was informed this morning that the hearing would be adjourned because defence counsel had a previously scheduled trial before the Higher Court in Podgorica.

As stated in the lawsuit, the portal has for years conducted a sustained defamatory campaign against her, continuously publishing false information, harsh criticism and allegations targeting her personal and professional integrity, without substantiating them with facts or evidence.

Attorney Veselin Radulović, who represents the journalist in the proceedings, previously said that the disputed articles constitute an attack on her reputation, honour and dignity.

“With an apparent intention to continue doing so in the future, inflicting pain and distress on the journalist by portraying her as a criminal and as someone acting against the interests of the local community in which she lives and reports,” Radulović added.

In March 2025, the Basic Court in Podgorica ruled in a separate case brought by Šćepanović that the Aktuelno portal had violated her personality rights by using highly inappropriate and offensive language.

Under that judgment, the defendant company was fined 2,000 euros and ordered to remove ten articles that were the subject of the lawsuit. At the time, Šćepanović announced that she would donate the awarded compensation.
