A new large-scale bot attack has been recorded on the Instagram accounts of the media outlets Nova.rs, Radar, and Danas. The attack began today at around 4 p.m., when these accounts gained approximately 20,000 new followers each within a very short period of time, and the number of fake followers continues to grow.

Following the temporary suspension of several Nova.rs Instagram profiles, as well as the permanent suspension of the weekly magazine Radar’s account, Meta responded to complaints and reinstated the accounts. However, the disputed and clearly fake accounts that followed them were not removed. As a result, the number of followers on Nova.rs has increased by 190,000 over the course of one month, now totaling 404,000 followers, while the number of followers of the weekly magazine Radar has doubled and now stands at 210,000. Additionally, the number of followers of Danas on the same platform has increased from 108,000 to 231,000 just from Monday to today.
