After the media in BiH, and among the first, the Radiosarajevo.ba portal – out of a sense of professional responsibility towards the public interest, warned in August 2025 of attempts to instrumentalize citizens’ religious feelings, which could have consequences for security and social peace (which later came true), the Radiosarajevo.ba portal found itself under several weeks of verbal attacks by Sanin Musa – the leader of the extreme religious movement “Faith. Nation. State”, the president of the political party “Bosnian People Party”, the former Salafi Daiya – and his followers on social networks. It all started with an authors’ comment by the analytical team of the Radio Sarajevo portal, published on August 12, 2025. about the Islamic religious ceremony that Professor Musa planned to hold in Široki Brijeg, a community with a predominantly Catholic population, and continued with Radio Sarajevo’s reporting on the development of the situation surrounding the planned event, along with Professor Musa’s comments on his Facebook profile. In one of the posts on his Facebook profile, Professor Sanin Musa responds to an article published on the Radio Sarajevo portal and calls the journalists of this portal “amateurs”, “weak”, “uninformed petty-bourgeois”, etc. In another post, Professor Sanin Musa “calls out” the director of the portal Suada Peštek and the journalist Nedim Hrbat.
The Radiosarajevo.ba portal reported the case to the FMHL and contacted a lawyer regarding this matter.
