    On Thursday, October 17, 2024, journalists covering parliamentary developments were denied access to the parliamentary session by the Republic Guard.

    Journalists were also denied access to the session. Despite regulations guaranteeing media access, this is a recurring issue, with previous promises to prevent such incidents going unfulfilled. Currently, the Albanian Parliament is experiencing significant tension and controversy, particularly related to the actions of opposition members.
