The local police in Korça, Albania, reported on 4th August that they have arrested a 62-year-old man from Devolli, after being accused of physically attacking his daughter and hitting the journalist of the investigative show “Piranja” while on duty. The identification of the journalist is not published by the Police nor by the journalist herself.
The notification of Police:
“Specialists for the investigation of crimes at the Devoll police station arrested the citizen L. J., 62 years old, resident of the village of Ponçare, Devoll, for the criminal offenses “Domestic violence” and “Other intentional damage. The above-mentioned citizen, on 3rd August, in the village of Ponçare, Devoll, physically assaulted his daughter, citizen G. Ç., 33 years old, and also hit citizen M. M., 32 years old, resident of Tirana, journalist while on duty, who would make a chronicle with the citizen G. Ç., for an investigative show. The materials in his charge were passed to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance Korça, for further actions”.
