Edmond Hoxhaj journalist and his wife’s personal data were illegally accessed by Notary Agron Bajri.
On April 23, 2022, Hoxhaj together with the wife discovered that in their accounts on the e-Albania portal a notary named Agron Bajri had generated their family certificate on April 14 and a few minutes later had generated a receipt for the payment of Ms. Hoxha’s contributions.
We do not personally know this notary and have not authorized him to generate our documents. So Mr. Bajri has performed these actions without our consent and without our knowledge. The journalist Hoxha believes that Notary Bajri has generated his personal data based on his professional engagement as a reporter in the case of Mrs. Elisabeta Imeraj, former Head of Tirana’s Persecution Office. Based on some online verifications with internet search tools Mr. Bajri seems to be the former husband of Mrs. Imeraj.
Journalist Hoxhaj has reported the case to the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection while he stated that: “Despite this situation, I am continuing and I know I continue my work practicing the profession of journalist”.
