After protests that were organized throughout Serbia over the adoption of the Law on Expropriation and the Law on Referendum in the Serbian Parliament, police inspectors in civilian clothes of the Vranje Police Administration appeared in the late afternoon at the home address of Vranje News reporter Milena Dimic with an order to take her to give statements to the police station, but she could not leave the apartment because she was alone with small children. As soon as that was possible, Dimić went to the police station and gave a statement that she was at the protest to report on it and clearly introduced herself as a journalist from the Vranje News portal.
