While reporting from a protest of high school students protesting against the alleged Pride Parade in that city, Jug press journalist Ljiljana Stojanovic was exposed to grave insults and threats. The attack was reported on the spot to a police officer present who also witnessed threats and insults, but did not respond to the journalist’s request. The journalist subsequently re-notified the police in Leskovac via a contact point for the security of the journalist, after which disciplinary proceedings were initiated after several days against the police officer who failed to respond on the spot.
