Journalist Diellza Luzha from Gazeta Shneta was threatened by an ambulance driver at Mitrovica Hospital.
“Journalist Diellza Luzha has reported today through an article about the misuse of the ambulance in Mitrovica Hospital. For this article, Luzha was threatened by one of the drivers, Bajram Ferati. Ferati was initially contacted by the journalist to get an explanation regarding the misuse of the ambulance, but he refused to speak. Meanwhile, after the publication of the article, he contacted the journalist threatening and insulting her”, was said in the complaint addressed to AJK.
“Listen carefully, I will take 15 times the ambulance. I will make sure that you won’t call anyone about that, did you understand?”, threatened Ferati. “I took the ambulance and I will take it,” said the ambulance driver.
AJK condemns the insulting and threatening language towards the journalist Luzha, and also calls upon the competent bodies to treat the case with priority.
