On September 10, 2022, “Slobodni zajedno” (Free together) initiative held a protest under the slogan “We’re firing you.” The protest was directed against the government of Andrej Plenković and the HDZ, and the protesters demanded the resignation of the government and the calling of early elections within 90 days and all referendums that have not been called so far.
At the protest, one of the protestors rudely pushed away the hand in which she was holding the microphone, while insulting the journalist of TV channel Vida, Bojana Guberac.
In addition to Bojana, other journalists were insulted at the protest, including HTV journalist and president of the European Federation of Journalists Maja Sever and Večernji list journalist Božena Matijević.
